Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of this website and any funding request you submit through it. They do not govern a funding agreement — that contract stands on its own.

The short version

  • This site is information about our funding services. It is not legal advice and not an offer to fund your case.
  • Submitting a request doesn't obligate either of us to anything.
  • If we do fund you, the written funding contract controls — not this page.
  • Give us accurate information, and don't use the site to do anything unlawful.

The full terms below control. Please read them.

1. Agreement to these terms

This website is operated by Green Light Legal Funding, LLC ("Green Light," "we," "us"), located at 269 S. Beverly Drive #451, Beverly Hills, California 90212.

By using this site, submitting a form, or contacting us through it, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

2. What this site is and isn't

This site is informational. It describes consumer legal funding and how we evaluate requests.

It is not legal advice. Green Light is not a law firm, does not practice law, and does not represent you. Nothing here creates an attorney-client relationship. We do not advise you on your claim, its value, whether to settle, or what to do in your case. Those decisions belong to you and your attorney.

It is not an offer of funding. Nothing on this site is an offer, commitment, or guarantee that we will fund your claim, or that funding will be available on any particular terms. Every request is evaluated individually, and we may decline any request for any lawful reason.

It is not a loan offer. Consumer legal funding is not a loan. We purchase a portion of the potential proceeds of a legal claim, and repayment is contingent and non-recourse.

It is not a referral service. We do not refer consumers to attorneys and we do not receive payment for referrals. You must already be represented by an attorney to be considered for funding.

3. Who may use this site

You may use this site only if you are at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. This site is directed to residents of California. We make no representation that our services are available or appropriate elsewhere, and you are responsible for compliance with the law where you are.

If you are an attorney, paralegal or other professional using this site on behalf of a client, you represent that you have the authority to do so.

4. Submitting a funding request

When you submit a request, you agree that:

Submitting a request creates no obligation on either side. We are not obligated to review, respond to, or fund any request, and you are not obligated to accept any offer we make.

Providing false or materially incomplete information to obtain funding may void a funding agreement and may carry legal consequences.

5. If we enter a funding agreement

Any funding we provide is governed exclusively by the written funding contract you sign. That contract sets out the amount, all applicable terms, the payoff figures, your right to cancel, and the parties' obligations.

If anything on this website conflicts with your funding contract, the contract controls. Nothing on this site modifies, supplements or interprets it. We encourage you to review any funding contract with your attorney before signing, and to ask us about anything you don't understand.

6. Calls, texts and email

By giving us your telephone number, you agree that we may contact you at that number about your request and your account, including by phone call, text message and email, and including through automated systems where you have consented to them.

Consent to receive marketing messages is not a condition of receiving funding. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any text message to stop texts, and HELP for help. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email to stop marketing email. We may still send communications necessary to service an active funding agreement.

7. Electronic records and signatures

You consent to receive communications, disclosures, agreements and notices from us electronically, and you agree that electronic signatures, contracts and records satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

To access and retain electronic records you'll need a device with internet access, a current browser, and an email account. You may withdraw this consent by contacting us, though doing so may prevent us from providing funding electronically. You may request a paper copy of any record at no charge.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or block access to anyone who violates these terms.

9. Our content and trademarks

The content of this site — text, layout, design, graphics and the Green Light Legal Funding name and logo — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property law. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. All other rights are reserved.

10. Third-party sites and information

This site may link to sites we don't operate, including law firm sites and court or agency resources. We provide those links for convenience only. We don't control, endorse, or take responsibility for their content, accuracy or practices, and your use of them is at your own risk.

11. No warranties

This site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that the information on it is complete, current or accurate. Case types, availability and eligibility criteria may change without notice.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Green Light and its members, officers, employees and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or relating to your use of this site — whether based in contract, tort, statute or otherwise, and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability arising out of or relating to your use of this site will not exceed one hundred dollars ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here limits your rights under the California Consumer Legal Funding Act (Business and Professions Code sections 6250–6256) or any other consumer protection law. This section does not apply to obligations under a signed funding contract, which is governed by its own terms.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Green Light and its members, officers, employees and agents from any claims, damages, losses and reasonable attorneys' fees arising out of your violation of these terms, your misuse of the site, or information you submit that is false or that you had no authorization to provide.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of this site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

15. Changes and termination

We may modify these terms at any time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date and post the revised version here. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept them, so please check back periodically.

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time without notice.

16. General provisions

Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect and the unenforceable provision will be limited to the minimum extent necessary.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.

Entire agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us regarding this website. They do not supersede or affect any funding contract.

Assignment. You may not assign these terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

Headings. Section headings are for convenience and do not affect interpretation.
