The standard we work to

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the benchmark generally referenced in accessibility practice in the United States, and it is what we measure this site against.

We say “aim to” deliberately. Conformance is something we work at continuously rather than a box we have ticked, and we would rather hear from you about a problem than claim there are none.

What we have built in

• A “skip to main content” link so keyboard users can bypass the navigation on every page.
• Semantic landmarks — header, navigation, main and footer — so screen reader users can move between regions.
• A single, ordered heading structure on every page, with no skipped levels.
• Text that meets the WCAG AA contrast minimum against its background.
• Visible focus outlines on every link, button and form field, so you can see where you are when navigating by keyboard.
• Form fields with real labels, with required fields marked for assistive technology and not by color alone.
• Descriptive text on every link, rather than “click here.”
• Alternative text on images.
• Respect for the reduced-motion setting on your device, which turns off animation.
• Touch targets on mobile sized for people who have difficulty with fine movements.
• Pages that work at increased text size and when zoomed.
• A Spanish version of our main page at greenlightlegalfunding.com/es.

Known limitations

Our privacy policy and terms of use are currently available in English only. The Spanish page states this, and we will provide the substance of either document in Spanish on request.

Some third-party services we use, such as analytics, are outside our direct control. If one of them creates a barrier for you, tell us and we will look for an alternative.

Getting information another way

Anything on this site is available another way. We can read it to you over the phone, send it by email, provide a large-print copy, or walk you through a funding request verbally rather than through the online form. There is no charge and no need to explain why.

If you would find it easier to apply by phone or text instead of filling in the form, just call or text us. The form is a convenience, not a requirement.

Telling us about a problem

If you hit a barrier, please tell us what page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what happened. If you know what you were using — a particular screen reader, browser or device — that helps us reproduce it, but it is not required.

We will acknowledge your message and tell you what we are doing about it. Serious barriers get fixed as quickly as we can, and in the meantime we will make sure you get what you needed by another route.
