What to have ready when you call
None of this is required to start a conversation, but having it on hand makes the first call shorter.
- Your attorney's name and the firm they work at
- Roughly when the incident happened and what kind of claim it is
- Whether you have taken an advance from any other funding company
- Any medical liens you know about
If you are an attorney or paralegal
Email the attorney desk and we will send a single, specific document list rather than a general request. We do not charge your firm and we do not call the office repeatedly for status. See information for attorneys.
If you do not have a lawyer yet
We cannot fund an unrepresented claim, and we do not refer consumers to attorneys or accept referral payments — California law prohibits it. The State Bar of California operates a public lawyer referral service directory that is independent of us.
